Good Morning Everyone & Happy Tuesday!....
I hope you all had a fun Memorial Day weekend! Today I wanted to share my final card that I made for the Embellish Butterflies Color Challenge. As I had stated in one of my previous posts, I absolutely fell in love with this required color combo. So when it came time to make up a card, I just couldn't stop myself from making more than one!
For this last entry (shown above) I used the big butterfly from "Inkadinkadoo". I stamped it three different times, in order to be able to make the wings pop up, as shown in the picture. However, for the top layer, I used black embossing powder and heated it, so that it would be raised and shiny. :) For the background, I stamped the sun rays from the "You're Dandy" set, from Practicing Creativity, in Versamark ink. I just loved the way they turned out! Then I just finished up the card by adding some faux stitching and a few rhinestones.
I really hope you had as much fun viewing these butterfly cards, as I did with making them. If anybody is interested in participating in the Embellish Butterflies Color Challenge as well, there is still some time to play. Just head on over to their blog for more details!
Did any of you do anything fun over the weekend? It was so nice to have Monday off. I really wish all weekends were 3-day weekends! Last night, my boyfriend and I sat down to watch the Disney movie: "Up". Have any of you seen it?... Yes, I know it has been out for a while now, and i'm probably one of the last people to finally watch it. Haha.... But ohhh, how I loved it! It was definitely one of the most adorable movies ever! It was also so sad in a few parts I actually cried in the beginning scene. LoL.... But it was such a CUTE movie, overall. So if you haven't seen it, I definitely recommend watching it!
Before I go, I would just like to share one more thing with you all. I recently added one of those "Email Subscription" boxes to the sidebar of my blog. So if any of you are interested in subscribing and receiving emails whenever I make a new post, then please fell free to sign up and enter your email address in the box, under my picture. Be sure to let me know if you have any problems with this or need to ask any questions.
Thanks so much for reading and have a fantastic day!!! :)
