My Final LS Post....

Hello Everyone.... I know it's been a while. I have missed writing on my blog so much, but things are just too hectic for me right now. Anways, as you might have noticed from the title of this post... this is indeed my final Lawnscaping post as an official DT member. I am sad to say that I have decided to step down from being on the team. Although I LOVE working with them SO very much, it has just been difficult for me keep up with certain commitments and there are a few other things in my life that I need to focus on right now.

I hope that many of you will continue following my blog, despite the fact that my posts have been very inconsistent these days. I always genuinely LOVE hearing from you all, and I promise that as soon as things get settled, I will try my hardest to get back to creating and posting regularly again. 

For this particular Lawnscaping Challenge #36, the theme is "Color Splash", and we are being sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp online store. 

As you can see in my photo above, I chose to keep the colors rather dark, by using navy blue cardstock and black embossing powder. Then I just added the color splash pop by adhering the orange umbrella. 

As I always say: I sure hope my card has inspired some of you. I also hope that many of you will decide to play along in this Lawnscaping Challenge #36 as well.

DeNami's Cards for Guys Blog Hop

This month's theme is "Cards for Guys". This can be a rather tricky theme at times, but it's also very fun one. So since most guys tend to like sports, I figured it would be cool to create some baseballs using the the DeNami Stitched Circle stamp. 

The stitched circles worked just perfectly for creating my own baseballs. I simply stamped them in black, and then used a thin red marker to make the stitching lines on the inside.

Hello Everyone. Happy Monday!.... I'm a little bit drained after this weekend. I had a fun time sharing the last couple of days with good friends for a bachelorette party. My weekend included, a hotel party, dinner, clubbing, beach, etc. Needless to say, I'm pretty exhausted after all of the festivities. LoL.... But it was a good time overall, and the wedding is next week. I'm going to be a bridesmaid, so it should be fun.

Ok well, my card for today is for the latest Lawnscaping Challenge #32- "Stamp A Scene". It's being sponsored by Lawn Fawn, and I'm sure we can all agree that they have tons of great images for creating scenes.

A Card & Some Personal Ramblings.....

Hello again sweet friends!

I'm back again with a card that I made for the newest Challenge #1 at A Blog Named Hero. It's a brand new blog and I'm excited to be a part of their first challenge: "Playing Favorites".

This is actually my THIRD post for the week!.... Wow!.... That is actually something that I would like to touch upon, although it may seem a bit silly and insignificant to some.

Today's post is the first card (within the past year) that I have made on my own that has not been a DT-related assignment or part of any other craft commitment that I have had. I know that seems weird, considering that I have posted several times. However, it's been a very long while since I have freely just sat down and made a card for no reason. :(

Some of you took notice last year when I sort of fell off the"Blogging World" for a bit. LoL... A few of you even wrote to me to see if everything was okay, and asked if there were reasons why I was rarely posting and why my posts became so generic and short. (I can't express how truly grateful I am for those who reached out to me). 

Around this same time last year, I had unfortunately fallen into a very scary and painful depression. It was by far, one of the worst experiences of my life. 

I have debated whether or not to write about my struggle on here and whether there would even be a purpose in sharing it on my blog some time in the future. I KNOW that I am not the only one that has suffered in this particular way. I've realized and learned so much simply by reading experiences of others, so perhaps it might help to communicate my story in a another post and write everything out some time.

Anyways, I apologize for getting into such an awkward mood during this post. I hope that you guys are still able to appreciate my card. The challenge called for us to utilize some of our favorite stamps from Hero Arts. I decided to keep the color to a minimum on this one, so I simply stamped my image with plain Versamark ink and then just enhanced it with some black and turquoise details.

I hope I was able to inspire some of you. Thank you so much for reading today. I always appreciate your visits!

"Follow Your Dreams" (LS#30)

Hello there everyone....

Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was pretty hectic, as usual. I'm in the process of looking for a new car to buy and I've also been very busy with work lately. Blah! Hopefully things will settle down soon. 

Anyways, onto a better note... the card I made for today is for the newest Lawnscaping Challenge #30- "Inspired By". This challenge is rather unique in comparison to the others, becuase you are able to find inspiration from just about anywhere! 

I chose to use a photo from My Pinterest account that I pinned a while back. You can check out the photo below or also by clicking here.

As you may have noticed from the photo, I was initially inspired by the gorgeous color combo of deep yellow and gray. So that's what I chose to use in my card. Then I used an Exacto Knife in order to lift up some of the petals from the flowers. I thought it would be nice to give the card some dimension.

Not quite sure where the blue came in to play... haha... but when I was done with the card, I felt it still needed something more. So I decided to add the blue rhinestones for a little pop of color. Hope you guys like it!

Lawnscaping Challenge #29: SKETCH

Hello Fabulous People!....

I hope you are all well. I was actually extremely under the weather last week. I missed a total of four days of work due to major congestion, asthma, fever, and a horrible sore throat. It was no fun! :(... But I'm happy to report today that I am feeling much better now. The doctor put me on antibiotics and so today I am going back to work and I'm happy about not being stuck at home feeling hopeless like I did last week. LoL....

Ok, well on a better note, I have a brand new Lawnscaping Challenge #29 and this time it is based off of a SKETCH, made by my wonderful friend Chari! Check it out below:

"Sending Hugs- I'm Here for You" (Distress Challenge)

Hiiii Everyone.... How was your weekend???... Mine was pretty cool. I had an unexpected visit from some of my family from Boston. My 10 yr old god-daughter, along with her parents (my aunt & uncle), came down. So it was a very nice surprise to have them here, since we don't get to see them as often. Needless to say, my weekend was pretty busy spending time with them. It was lots of fun though! :)

Ok, well on to my card above!... This card was made for the latest Lawnscaping Challenge #28- Distress Mania.

The theme involves applying any type of distress technique to your card.  In my case, I chose to apply my ink on with distress tools and sponges. Then I also roughed up the edges a bit using regular scissors.
