Good Morning Everyone!
Spring is here! And that means that Easter is just around the corner! So today I would like to share with you this Easter card that I made last night. I recently purchased a few new stamps from the new Hero Arts’ Spring Collection. I was so excited to come home and see a package waiting for me with my new stamps. So I didn’t waste any time with getting started on a card. :)
As you can see in the following picture, I decided to make a few alterations to the original stamped images.
To start with.....
I stamped both of the stamps that I was using with Memento black ink.
Then I quickly colored the images in with Copic markers.
I didn’t worry about staying in the lines, because I knew that I was going to be cutting the images out afterwards. Therefore, it did not matter.
Then, after cutting out the images, I ran some green cardstock through my Cuttlebug machine in order to emboss my “grass”.
I then stamped the Clouds Background from Hero Arts onto the base of my card, and then went on to assembling all of the pieces together.
Aren't those bunnies so adorable??!!!
They look so "cool" & serious... Haha!
Here’s a look at the card again, along with the stamps that I used to make my cut-outs from.
I will say, that it’s not my “usual” style of cards... But I am still pretty pleased with the way it turned out.
The bright colors are definitely perfect for Spring! :)
I also made another version of this same card, only I used different bunny stamps that I had in my collection. It’s a much simpler look. But it’s still pretty cute. Here’s what it looks like:
Well, that’s all I have for today. Hope everyone has had a great week. Mine has been pretty hectic lately. I can’t tell you how happy I am that the weekend is just around the corner. Yay!... It always seems like there’s sooo much to do, and just not enough time! LoL…. The reason I’ve been so busy lately is due to the fact that I’ve been trying to do a bunch of errands and get stuff done, because I’m actually leaving next week to go on vacation. I’m going with my family to Colombia. I’m very excited about this trip, because traveling is one of my absolute most favorite things to do. Especially if it involves going somewhere out of the country. So I leave next Thursday, and I just can’t wait! :)
I will definitely try my best to do another post before I leave. Hopefully I’ll have some internet access while I’m over. I’ll have to wait and see. But until next time….. Hope everyone has a great Friday!!!
