Good Morning Everyone!
Today I have a fun color challenge to share with you all, from DeNami Design. I'm very excited today, because this is officially my first time participating in one of these color challenges as an actual DT member! =) So I really hope you guys enjoy this card.
I decided to use the Ice Cream Sundae stamp image once again, simply because it's one of my favorites, and also because it's so versatile. This card could be used as a birthday card, friendship card, or "Just Because" card... practically anything! First, I stamped and embossed the ice cream image three different times with my Versamark ink pad and clear embossing powder. I wanted to do an "emboss resist" technique for this card, so once the images had cooled off, I then used an ink blending tool in order to apply the ink to my paper. By doing this technique, I was able to only color the paper around the image that was not embossed. Thus allowing the ice cream image to remain clear.
Here are a couple pics showing some different angles of the card. I used pop-dots in order to raise the images. and I also added ribbon, pearls, and the loop border, in order to add some extra details.
I had a lot of fun making this card and using these fabulous bright colors that were chosen by my fellow DT member, Rebeka. If you like these vibrant and happy color choices too, you should definitely head on over to the DeNami blog for more details and participate in this fun color challenge!
Hopefully you were able to get some inspiration from me today. Please be sure to visit the blogs of the other DeNami designers as well, for more ideas and inspiration. Let me know if any of you end up incorporating the "emboss resist" technique with your challenge submissions. I'd love to see it! And I look forward to seeing what everyone creates!
Have a fabulous day! =)
