"Anything But A Card" Blog Hop

For my project, I chose to make this 3D Pumkin below:

Now, I actually can't take full credit for this design. I was inspired by a photograph that I had seen on Pinterest a while back. I just love that site! Anyways, I thought this 3D Pumkin would be perfect for my blog hop post, being that we are currently in the Fall season and also since the Thanksgiving holiday is just around the corner. 

I thought it would be a fun idea to make more of these pumpkins in order to decorate a house with an Autumn feel, or even to decorate a Thanksgiving dinner table! :)

Ribbon Leaf

Helloooo there everyone! 

Did you all have a fun Thanksgiving??.... I sure hope so!... My Thanksgiving was great. I cooked and ate with my family and it was so nice having the day off from work the following Friday. Although I didn't do much shopping this year (very unusual for me), I did enjoy the free time and I was able to get some errands done and also go see a movie too. My boyfriend and I went to see "127 Hours" last night. Has anybody else seen it???.... I enjoyed it very much. It was based on a true story and it was definitely a pretty intense movie. However, if you're the "squeamish type", then it may be a bit uncomfortable to watch. Just a bit of a "warning" there. :-) 

So, my card for today is another one of my features from Sue Berker's blog that was recently showcased. This is the final card from that collection that was shared on her blog, so many of you have probably already seen this card. But if not, then you can read all about it by clicking ---> HERE. Oh, and if you're interested, you may want sign up to follow Sue's blog too, because she usually shares a new "Featured Stamper" each month, in addition to sharing the wonderful projects that she creates herself too! :-)

The design for this card was inspired by a card that Kristina Werner had created a while back. I was unable to locate the original card when I went back to search for it on her blog. But she had a similar cut-out shape with ribbon peeking through, only hers was a heart shape, instead of a leaf.

Oh... and one more thing, before I go... I know this is long over-due, and I apologize tremendously for my delay. But I wanted to finally announce the winner of my most recent giveaway, for the Hero Arts lace ribbon.

HAPPY FALL

Hello All!... So if you've been following my blog lately, then you may remember this card below.....

Yes, it was one of the cards that was recently posted on my friend, Sue Berker's blog, where she featured me as her "Featured Stamper" for the month of November. You can read all about it on this post ----> HERE.

I do have one other card that has yet to be post on my blog, as well. However, I will make sure to post it later on this week, before the end of the month. 

Anyways, I thought I would just go ahead and post this particular card here on my blog today, since the month of November will be over soon. 

I used stamps from both Practicing Creativity Designs and also Lawn Fawn. I just love the awesome houndstooth pattern in background and the fun banner too! :)

Can you believe Thanksgiving is only a day away?! Then, after that, it will be time to prepare for Christmas and New Years already. Where the heck did 2010 go?? LoL... Time seems to flyyy by so fast these days, huh?

Well, I just wanted to take the time to wish each and every one of you a safe and happy Thanksgiving! Whether you celebrate the holiday or not, it's still a fun time to be grateful and take notice of the things that make us all smile in life. We all have lots to be grateful for! DeNami "Leftovers".....

Hey Everyone!... 

Ok, so today I am just sharing a couple of "leftover" cards that I previously made, but just never got around to posting them. They are just simple cards... nothing too fancy. I even debated on whether or not to ever post them. But since I had nothing else scheduled today, I thought "why not"?

Do you guys recognize the layout of this first card above? Well it's based off of my current sketch challenge over on the DeNami blog. I altered it a little bit, by adding the extra buttons, but overall it is a pretty similar layout. If you're interested in playing along with this sketch challenge too, just click HERE for all of the details. :-)

This next card was actually a card that I had originally made for one of the older, previous sketches that DeNami had a few months back. I sometimes make more than one sample for the challenges, so therefore I am sometimes left with a couple of cards that may not get posted. That's why I call them "leftovers". LoL

I figured that if I was ever going to post this particular card, it would be more appropriate to do it now, sooner than later, since the Fall & Thanksgiving season will be ending next month.

Well, I hope that you all enjoyed these cards that I had as "leftovers". I actually have a whole folder on my desktop that is titled: "Never been posted". Sometimes I go in there and I consider posting a few of them, when I get some free time. And then, to be honest, sometimes I go in there and realize that I have lost interest in the card and I no longer feel that it is even "blog-worthy" anymore. LoL... Does that ever happen to any of you?

I guess my style or preferences just change, and then I start thinking of things that I would have done differently on the original card. LoL... I know, I can be too picky sometimes! But if you would like to start seeing more of my "leftover" cards, then let me know... and I just might start searching through my stash more often. ;-)

Harvest Season

Hey guys!... So I didn't have anything scheduled for today. So, as promised, I am sharing some more cards from my recent feature on Sue Berker's blog. You can check out my original post here, in case you missed it.

In case you haven't already noticed, I am totally loving this set from Lawn Fawn. The leaves are so fun and easy to color. If you follow me on My TWITTER account, you may remember when I posted this picture below:

Excuse the poor quality (it was taken late at night with my phone). But that was the day I was coloring my leaves. It's easy to color in images when you know you're going to be cutting them out, because you don't have to worry about staying within the lines. :)

Here are some close-up shots of my card. I adhered the leaves down with a single glue-dot behind each one of them. I wanted to be able to curl up the edges, in order to make the card more dimensional. The background is simply a page that I tore out of an old book and then I just used some distress ink to give it a more aged look.

My next card is rather simple. Super CAS style! I just used some of my leftover leaves that I had from the first card and stuck them down to a kraft base. After stamping the sentiment, I then just made the border with a thin black marker and a ruler.

Oh, and here's a peek at the inside. So simple! This card literally took like five minutes to make. I think that's a personal record for me! LoL
